About Fahey Sales
n 2012, Fahey Sales (est. 1947 in Belle Plaine, MN) had just invested in a huge 50,000 square foot auction facility. They were ready
to take the steps necessary to develop a new auction concept as well as expand their multi-state auction company.
The Problem
Fahey's multi-team cataloging process was not working effectively. Loading and editing photos for hundreds of lots was a
monster task, and the third- generation auctioneer wanted an easier way to manage online, live, and simulcast auctions. Fahey
struggled with outdated clerking software Maxa. Several things had to change.
The Wavebid Solution
Jim Fahey turned to Wavebid for the solution. The automatic photo cataloging process saved hundreds of hours in labor and Wavebid's
cloud clerking software facilitated Fahey's expansion into an larger, multi-state business model.
Last year, Fahey Sales did more than 100 online only and simulcast auctions using Wavebid. They used the full suite of Wavebid tools
- Cataloging, Clerking and Marketing to manage simple online-only auctions and large multi-ring auctions. Wavebid's unlimited seat
feature allows Fahey to scale as large as they need to for each auction without additional per seat costs.
Fahey Sales is a new company: they can produce more (photo-handling is quicker) and easily manage and support
multiple teams in multiple states running multiple auctions all with Wavebid's Cloud system.
"We like the user friendly and time-saving method of building catalogs and the ease of integrating the catalog
with our online vendor and advertisers. Truly a one-stop shop to conducting an auction." - Jim Fahey, Fahey Sales
